Sona Papers – The Swatch That Started Conversations
The Challenge
The brief?
“Ek packaging ka swatch bana dijiye.”
That’s it.
No
specific direction. No product grid. No layout structure.
Sona didn’t ask for romance,
storytelling or drama - they just wanted a good catalogue.
We saw an opportunity to turn
that blank slate into a stage.
The Idea
We treated packaging like love at first sight.
We imagined mock boxes for
chocolates, perfumes, wine and more - each designed not to hold a product, but to hold a moment.
Every concept came with a warm, witty line - printed as a live insert, slipped into clever die-cut
slits.
It was part swatch, part spark, part story.
The Magic
The catalogue felt personal and premium.
Modern layouts, rich colours and a tone
that was charming without trying too hard. It invited people to touch, pause and talk. The
lines became icebreakers. The visuals turned heads. It wasn’t just a paper showcase - it was a
packaging experience you could feel.
The Result
Yes, it
won awards. But more importantly, it won attention.
Clients walked in for 15-minute
meetings and stayed for an hour - because the swatch book became the centre of every conversation.
This wasn’t just about showcasing paper. It was about showing how paper can make people
feel something.
